What to Expect

During the treatment, we may or may not put numbing cream to provide a more comfortable experience (Please discuss with your therapist your preference). Then we use mesoestetic® MCT injector to inject hydrating or brightening agents into the dermal layer of your skin. You may have some red dots at the site of injection which should disappear within 1-3 days. Otherwise there is no downtime for this treatment.

Before Treatment

  • Avoid alcohol 48 hours before the appointment.

  • Avoid taking Aspirin or anti-inflammatory medication (Voltaren, Nurofen) for 5-7 days prior to appointment

  • Avoid taking fish oils, evening primrose oil, garlic, echinacea, St Johns wort, Vitamin E for 5-7 days before appointment

  • Not suitable for anyone pregnant.

After Treatment

  • Swelling and tenderness may be present for 24-48 hours

  • Avoid touching your face for at least two hours to allow injection sites to heal over and to avoid introducing external infection

  • Gently massage area with a neutral cream to comfort. Keep the area free of oil based products, make up and thick moisturisers for at least 24 hours

  • Some bruising may occur during the treatment. It should settle in a few days depending on the individual.

  • Avoid exposure to prolonged sunlight, rigorous exercise, saunas, hot baths and excessive amounts of alcohol, as this will increase the swelling and the possibility of bruising.
