Overview

DPL (Dynamic Pulsed Light)  is a type of light therapy which uses a specific spectrum of wavelengths which are readily absorbed by haemoglobin and melanin. This makes it highly effective in treating vascular lesions and hyperpigmentation.

What to Expect

Although block out goggles will be on you as with all laser treatments, some flashing lights may be visible. This is a normal response. During the treatment, warmth or a  pricking sensation may be felt.

Immediately following treatment brown spots will start to darken and your skin may appear slightly red, the treated area may also be mildly swollen. The redness typically lasts a few hours.

  • Always wear 30+ sun protection 1 week prior to and during any course of laser treatment. And after the Treatment, avoid sun exposure and use broad spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen to prevent further sun damage.

After Treatment
