Treatments Modalities

Acupuncture:

Acupuncture is a therapy that has been used for thousands of years and is now widely practiced in modern healthcare settings. It involves the use of fine, sterile needles placed at specific points on the body to support overall wellbeing.

It is commonly used as a supportive therapy to promote relaxation and may help reduce muscle tension from day-to-day life, release trigger points and can support muscle recovery and movement retraining.

Electro-Acupuncture:

Electro-acupuncture combines traditional acupuncture with gentle electrical stimulation to allow targeted stimulation of specific treatment areas.

It is commonly used as a supportive therapy to help reduce acute and chronic muscular tension, release trigger points, support movement and muscular function and assist with rehabilitation and physical performance during training and recovery.

Cupping:

Cupping uses a vacuum cup to create a negative force on the body. The suction pulls blood flow to help decompress the muscle. There are different styles of cupping and each style has its own benefits.

  • Gliding cupping

  • Wet cupping (Hijama)

  • Stationary cupping

  • Flash cupping

Guasha:

Guasha (aka. myofascial therapy) involves the use of a tool to smoothen the fascia and increase microcirculation.

Massage:

Massage is a manual therapy that helps mobilize the muscles, release tension, and separate tight muscle fibres and knots. It can improve circulation, reduce muscle stiffness, relieve discomfort and promote relaxation.
